They are pointed out definitely that taking students as the main body, taking teachers as leading, giving full play to students’ active participation and taking all the work in promoting students’ healthy growth as starting point and ending point in “The guidelines ofthe national program for medium-term and long-term educational reform and development(2010-2020)”. The actively engagement of students involved in school activities and classroom teaching is the most direct manifestation of the subjectivity. Student engagementplays an important role in successful learning and further it is a key point to become a useful person and improve the quality of education for students.In China, liberal arts and science is separated in high school education stage. Liberalarts students do not have the course of physics in the college entrance examination.Therefore, the problems that physical achievement and accomplishment is low,knowledge structure is not perfect and capability development is unbalanced arewidespread. This is not conducive to the overall development of students. Thecomprehensive quality of high quality talents have been sought by society. Thecommunity needs of inter-disciplinary talent whether in the field of scientific research orin the economic sector. There are certain distances between liberal arts students in highschool and the comprehensive quality of high quality talents at this stage. Therefore, it isnot only conducive to full growth of liberal arts students, but also conducive to thedevelopment of society by exploring the external factor of influencing physics studyengagement of liberal arts students in high school and seeking strategies to improve poorcondition of physics study engagement of liberal arts students in high school.Document analysis and questionnaires are adopted in this paper. The questionnaireof physics study engagement of liberal arts students in high school and the externalinfluencing factors are framed. Then the data is carried on the statistical analysis usingstatistical analysis software SPSS19.0. The correlation between teachers factors, peersfactors, school factors, parents factors and society factors with student engagement is studied. The following conclusions are obtained by literature study and statistics analysisresults.(1) The degree of student engagement of liberal arts students in high school inYan’an city is low, cognitive engagement is the insufficient mainly.(2) There are fivefactors, such as teacher factors, peer factors, school factors, parents factors and socialfactors about external influencing factors of physics study engagement of liberal artsstudents in high school in Yan’an city, there is a highly significant relationship with studyengagement. According to their importance, external factors influencing the level ofphysics study engagement of liberal arts students in high school are respectively: peer,teacher, school, society and parents factors. The Changing Strategies of low physicsstudy engagement of liberal arts students in high school in Yan’an city are proposed fromfive levels by the external influencing factors of physics study engagement of liberal artsstudents in high school in Yan’an city. First, the strategies of peer-level include:(1)Carrying forward good academic atmosphere, transferring positive energy of physics;(2)Strengthening cooperative learning, developing with peer jointly. Second, the strategiesof teacher-level include:(1) Closing to student life, adding interestingness of teaching;(2)Getting support and encouragement from teachers, helping students to experience success;(3) Improving cognitive ability, enhancing the level of thinking. Third, the strategies ofschool-level include:(1) Constructing the developmental evaluation system, stimulatingthe enthusiasm of engagement;(2) Improving teaching facilities, enhancing teachinglevel. Fourth, the strategies of social-level include:(1) Passing comprehensive views oftalent;(2) Clearing college entrance requirements to liberal arts students. Fifth, thestrategies of parent-level include: Supporting teaching work of school, changing theutilitarian concept.
