Under the background of the on-going Nation-wide School Football Activity forTeenagers launched jointly by the General Administration of Sports and the Ministryof Education in April2009, this study, by Methods of Survey, Questionnaire andInterviewing etc, investigated and analyzed the current situation of its implementationin Nanchang and Jing Dezhen,the arranged cities designated for school footballpromotion. The aims of this research are to generalize the experiences of how to carryout the school football activity, to find out the related problems and defects nowexisted and to give out the countermeasures accordingly, in a bid to providetheoretical basis for better promoting the School Football Activity and its furtherdevelopment. The theoretical basis established is provided to promote thedevelopment of School Football Activity within Jiangxi Province, and to theoreticallyguide the development of the football talent reserve of Jiangxi Province. This reflectsa basic function of Football in education, namely finding out and fostering those whoare of fine qualities and excellent in learning, who are well developed in morality,intelligence and physique and who are talents in Football, and hopefully this couldcontribute to the development of Chinese Football.Conclusions. The problems existed in carrying out the School Football Activity inJiangxi Province:(1) The lack of further understanding in administrators of the arranged cities ofJiangxi Province, impedes the continuous development of the activities,leading to the inactivity of its implementation, and a shortage in funds needed.The high frequency of the unexpected rumors happened in Chinese Football,and the repelling and criticizing attitude in the whole public opinions aboutFootball, as well as the traditional concept that literacy is concerned morerather than other courses, make the teenagers`parents to forbid them fromplaying Football.(2) The facilities and playgrounds used in School Football Activity are out-dated,easy to create undesirable sports injury. This principal contradiction explainswhy majority of the parents`worries happened.(3) It is not reasonable to think that much of the Football coaches`hobbies anddedicational spirit alone, who support the daily after-school training, cansustain a long-term well development in School Football Activity. It has tobetter design an assessment standard so that the sustainable development ofthis activity can be guaranteed by this system of rewards and penalties.(4) The unfinished establishment of Level4League disconnects the links betweenfirst team offering and the reserves followed, leading to a phenomenon thatschools insisting in training with designed long-term plans are so little.The development strategies of carrying out the School Football Activity in JiangxiProvince:(1) Under the guideline of the Twelve-five Years Plan, it should be guided by the scientific development perspectives, and should change the perceptions,gradually being elevated the cognition to the height that a well-done work incarrying out the Teenagers`Football is the basis and public welfare cause inpromoting China`s overall Football cause, and the increasing of the overallFootball level is a effective way in enhancing China`s soft power. It isrecommended that the People Foremost and the fostering of the standardFootball talents by School Football Activity should be insisted.(2) The departments about education and sports should well arrange theirresources, allocate the tasks related appropriately. Education departmentsshould play more roles in the promotion and popularization of the SchoolFootball Activity as well as of its positive influence on literacy and higherschool entrance advantages. Sports departments should pay more attention inmatches organization and management as well as related professional staffs`training.(3) The penalties and rewards system should be established so that the sustainabledevelopment of the School Football Activity can be guaranteed according tothis evaluation standard.(4) The arranged schools specific for Football development should focus onFootball school-based curriculum construction, and should structure variousforms of competition systems within school or between schools, making it amatch series that is covered by week-competitions and is organized byclass-units. The Level-4League should be sprouted in primary schools, middleschools, high schools and colleges respectively so that the supply chain ofFootball reserve can work smoothly. |
