In "The Civil War in France ", Karl Marx firmly believe that the Paris Commune shows a trend that it belongs to the people, and the government ruled by people, which implements the value orientation that the democracy theory has been pursuing for thousands of years. In order to implement people’s sovereignty, there must take the people as the main body of political participation as a guarantee. Therefore, it is very important to reinterpret "The Civil War in France" from the perspective of the democratic participation.This paper attempts to systematically analyze Marx’s thoughts of democratic participation and social construction in "The Civil War in France", from the perspective of connotation and extension of "political participation" category in political science. From the principle ---"the political form that labor liberated on economic", which Marx has stressed many times, this paper demonstrates that political participation is the premise and end-result of economic liberation; From Marx’s analysis about the practical model "Pairs Commune", this paper sums up the main ways of the people’s political participation, its main body scope and important features. Marx’s value orientation of people’s political participation thought is to give people’s rights, establish the main body through shattering capital rights and capital logic, finally to realize the human liberation and the full-development of the "realistic people".Following above problem consciousness and theory thinking, this article is mainly divided into three chapters. Chapter one discusses the history and logic possibility of putting forward the people’s political participation, namely is to investigate the social and historical background of this thought, also comb its development before "The Civil War in France". Chapter two as the main part, systematically interprets the basic contents of political participation thought in "The Civil War in France ", including defining the participants, the ways of participation, participation in the practice model (the Paris commune), the characteristics and value pursuit of participation. Chapter three according to the history of Marxist theory and Marx’s theory of democracy, summarizes the theory status of people’s political participation in "The Civil War in France ", combining the current reality sums up the contemporary enlightenment of the thought.
