After the end of the civil war of Rwanda, the Rwanda Patriotic Front announced the establishment of a new government in 1994,then the process of national reconstruction has been for more than 20 years. The new government was founded with facing a very difficult situation:tens of thousands of armed the former government troops in the border area seeking every opportunity to attack, millions of refugee flows posing a potential threat to the new regime, the society being basically in a state of paralysis, the country and the nation suffered great trauma. However, after 20 years of reconstruction and reconciliation, the country’s political and economic are developing steadily, compared to other African countries after the conflict. the reconstruction of Rwanda has achieved great success, and has become a successful case of national reconstruction. In addition to the general characteristics of national reconstruction, the participation of the Rwanda diaspora in the national reconstruction is one of the major features and highlights of the reconstruction process. Rwanda diaspora is huge, and its composition is complex too, coupled with the government of Rwanda classification policy and political guidance, Rwanda diaspora occupies an important position in rebuilding the country. And it’s an important aspect to have to consider when we research Rwanda state reconstruction.According to the relevant theories of state reconstruction, I will explore the Rwanda diaspora’s role in rebuilding the country from the reconstruction of the security, legality reconstruction, economy reconstruction, society and culture reconstruction four angles respectively.By analyzing we can conclude that Rwandan diaspora is involved in the all aspects of state reconstruction.Due to the complexity of the diaspora and their behavioral results, Rwanda diaspora has dual influence on state reconstruction, but from the macro and long-term points of view, Rwandan diaspora’s the positive influence on rebuilding the nation has been dominated.
