Research Of Suzhou Government’s Practice On Purchase Public Service For The Disabled

As a new way for Government to provide public service, Government’s Purchase Public Service(GPPS), in recent years, has been increasingly widely used in the practice of social management and service. Based on the theories of new p ublic service, welfare pluralism and service-oriented government, this article researches and analyses Suzhou Government’ practice of purchasing service for the disabled. Through the discussion and exploration on the topics of the working mechanism, operat ion details, purchase scope, undertaking subject and so on, the article tries to make a conclusion about the method and effect of Suzhou Government’s effort on this project, sort out the problems and analyze the reasons. With the Experience of the practice of GPPS in the developed countries and other areas in C hina, the article will make a proposal for the perfection of Suzhou Government’s purchase service for the disable persons. By means of systematic research on the government’s purchase service for the disabled, it is hoped that this article can provide reasonable suggestions for the application to the local government purchase service for disabled persons.
