As an American famous philosophers, ethicists, political scientist, John Rawls(1921-1921)has run out his life to study the theory of justice. His representative work is the "theory of justice". Rawls proposes that justice should be based on fairness, which is especially different with the traditional theory of west world. For this reason his theory is also called justice as fairness. In his book, Rawls put forward the famous idea of justice principle. In order to destroy and replace the predominance of utilitarianism, He advocated to establish justice principle. The following is a brief overview of this paper:Paper begins with an overview of the concept of justice, and through the general understanding of the concept of justice, then I the compared the concept of justice with other connected conception. Under the theory foundation of the western scholars’ interpretation before Rawls, we can know the peculiarity of Rawls better. Then the second chapter is put forward, which is about the detailed introduction of justice theory. In the following chapter of the paper, we has put forward three problems of justice theory to discuss and analyze. The first question is if a people live in a closed system of social system all his life, the justice principle which they do agree to arrange their basic structure of the social system should the basic content contain? The second question is what structure does the social system has, what requirements will the social system add to people, will these requirements bring more constraints and not applicable, or to be too fragile and can not have good order? The third problem is, what kind of person such a system will shape? whether they will make a lasting stability to support the basic quality of the system, whether they can develop social justice into good concept and has its own free space. Based on a theory of justice Rawls, we can have a more clearly understanding of the main content. Then it proves that only through the exposition of uniqueness and its value and effect of Rawls’ theory, can we have a further explanation of its necessity and significance from an overall perspective. |
