The Social Responsibility Research Of "A" Military-Support Enterprise In Chengdu

The Corporate Social Responsibility Theory originates from western world,Shelton,an American scholar,firstly propounded this term in 1924.The Europe and United State and other developed countries started systematically research on it in 1960s,then a worldwide popularity of studying this theory emerged in 1980s. China’s academic circle has paid extensive attention on it since 1990s.Particularly after accessing World Trade Organization, the tendency of economic globalization is quite obvious,enterprises are in face of fierce competition imposed by domestic and overseas competitors, the traditional value outlook of those enterprises that solely maximizes the profit is no longer satisfies the need of economic and social development. What’s more, the enterprises play an active role of safeguarding public interests and facilitating society’s sustainable development.At a conference of Third Plenary Session of Seventeenth Central Committee in 2014,our government has clearly pointed out to urge enterprises to strengthen their public service and fulfill their social responsibility.The majority of enterprises in China gear to international standards gradually under this background.But we should keep a clear mind to realize that the social responsibility’s development and construction in some certain military-support enterprises is far more than enough. And "A" is one of those state-owned enterprises,it operates for a long time within the planned economy.Meanwhile,its interaction with domestic and foreign enterprises is relatively inadequate.This article combines this enterprise’s present performance in its social responsibility and practical experience from other enterprises,trying to come up with a solution.This article lays a foundation for itself by defining the content of Corporate Social Responsibility and exploiting Stakeholder Theory and Sustainable Development Theory.The article finally puts forward some methods to tackle these problems,such as pushing government to participate in adjusting,interfering and facilitating the enterprise to fulfill social responsibility,military-support enterprise should firmly set up the social responsibility consciousness, fulfilling its social responsibility spontaneously,completing the mechanism of Enterprise Social Responsibility,and bringing the social responsibility into the enterprise strategic planning and enterprise culture.The main conclusions of this article are listed below:Firstly, the development of enterprise social responsibility still remains in primary stage. Secondly,the present situation of "A"military-support enterprise’s performance in social responsibility is dissatisfaction due to the government, enterprise itself and society.Thirdly,the government, enterprise and society should work together to push forward the improvement of social responsibility,and elevate the enterprise’s initiative to take responsibility between military-support enterprise and other general enterprises.
