Mao Ze-dong’s Thought Of The Mass Line And Its Contemporary Value

The biggest political advantage of our Party lies in its close ties with the masses while the biggest potential danger for it as a ruling party comes from its divorce from them. The 18th National Congress of Chinese Communist Party presented to carry out the mass line educational practice around keeping the advancement and purity to solve the prominent problem among the general public and improve the ability to do mass work under the new situation. It reflected that our party value people’s dominant position and work requirements for party members and cadres. Mao Zedong is a founder of the mass line, his understanding and application is useful for compatible relationship between the party and the mass today.The article consists of introduction, three main parts and conclusion:Introduction elaborates the background and significance of the paper, research status, research methods and innovation point.The first part discusses forming conditions and forming process of Mao Zedong thought of the mass line. That is, the people is the motive force in creating history, learning from the people, serving the people wholeheartedly, the consistency which is responsible to the people and to the leading organ of the party, the party must rely on the masses to educate and guide the masses, from the masses, to the masses. The basic features conclude clear purpose, distinct practicality, universal democracy and foresight.The third part summarizes the historical status of Mao Zedong’s thought of the mass line. The mass line is one of the basic aspects of living soul of Mao Zedong thought, it is a heirloom of Chinese Communist Party, it is ideological origin and theoretical guide of the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The contemporary value is explored from four aspects,combined with current challenges faced by persisting in mass line.The conclusion part expounds that Mao Zedong’s thought of the mass line is a precious wealth of the chinese communist party and important magic weapon to realize chinese dream.
