Societal Forces In The Sichuan Lushan 4·20 Earthquake Emergency Rescue Case Study

During the past few years, a variety of unexpected natural disasters occur frequently in our country, which not just caused serious damage to people’s lives and property, but also seriously affected on the stable and harmonious development of political, economic, cultural and natural environment in our country. Therefore, the important issues of public crisis management those need to be solved imminently,include to encourage social forces to actively participate in disaster relief enhance the capacity of the whole society to respond to disasters, and to strengthen the public crisis response capabilities and management functions of government.On the basis of the lessons learned from WenChuan earthquake and other natural disasters response after Lushan earthquake, the Chinese government activates emergency plans, takes various emergency relief measures, both Government and the social forces quickly engages in the relief work.
