The Research On Chinese Local Government Sustainable Innovation

Local government innovation is a universal phenomenon and trend of the worldwide political and economic development. At the same time, it is also the main mean and way to promote political and administrative reform, to develop democratic politics, and to implement the scientific outlook on development. Since the Sixteen Party Congress report proposed: "Innovation is the soul of a nation’s progress, is an inexhaustible motive force for national prosperity, is also the source of the eternal vitality of a political party", Chinese local government innovation is in the ascendant. Chinese local government in the development should not only pays attention to innovation, but also pays more attention to the long-term effects and the sustainable development of innovation. Therefore, this paper is from the innovation theory and sustainable development theory, based on the current actual situation in China, and is dedicated to the study on sustainability issues of local government innovation, in order to improve the local government’s ability to govern, to realize good governance of local government.This paper mainly uses the literature research methods and comparative analysis methods to demonstrate, makes the interpretation of Chinese local government innovation motivation, mode, and analyzes Chinese local government sustainable innovation performance and problems. Based on the above performances, from sustainable innovative environment, awareness, material basis, sustainable innovation mechanism and other aspects, this paper makes a deep analysis and research on the reasons of Chinese local government innovation lack of sustainability. At the end of the paper, according to the existing problems and reasons, from the establishment of healthy sustainable innovation environment, fostering positive awareness of sustainable innovation, establishing the material basis for sustainable innovation and improving the mechanisms for sustainable innovation, the author put forward some suggestions to promote the Chinese local government sustainable innovation, in order to improve governance and service capabilities of Chinese local government.
