Mao Zedong attaches great importance to the typical education which belongs to the ideological and political education method. In the process of leading Chinese revolution and construction, Mao Zedong formed and perfected the typical education system gradually which combined with the essence of Chinese traditional culture,actual situation of China and under the guidance of Marxism.Mao Zedong’s typical education thought originates from the Chinese traditional culture and Marx theory. The Confucianism as the representative of traditional culture puts the "sage" and "gentleman personality" as the life cultivation model and attaches great importance to the function of integrity and self-discipline; Classical Marxist writer has also many typical educational thought, Marx, Engels and Lenin not only emphasized the great importance to play the leading role for the political party of the proletariat, but also public the proletarian ideology through propaganda of advanced typical character and deeds in the labor movement.
