| When entering the 21 st century, the situation of globalization with overwhelming has spread out all over the world. There is an increasing close relationship among the countries in the world, and as the same time, the rising friction between countries is common. Although China and the United States have different levels of exchanges and cooperation in the political, economic, military and cultural fields, they still have some inherent ideas and differences, which fundamentally hinder the two countries to further expand exchanges and cooperation. This study aims to 20 years after the cold war, the People’s Daily reported involved in the United States as the research object, the changes of the America’s image as the perspective, and to the sampling, coding and analysis related to the reported for 2010 years to 1991. It will use content analysis and case study to explore the change of the America’s image. In this study, the author by using interval sampling and cluster sampling, with the model of classification index to encode all samples, statistics and analysis, which will draw the outline of “the basic mode of American image change†in the People’s Daily. Finally through the characteristics of the change model were summarized, and combined with background factors such as the international political development, the strategy of diplomatic relations between China and America, the development of China and the change of America’s image, to make a deep discussion. Research suggests that America’s image in the People’s Daily mainly were negative image in the post-cold war period. Although the science and technology in America was developed, the economic situation was not optimistic. In the political, American was arrogant, overbearing, unilateralism and hypocrisy. In the final conclusion part, the author summarizes the formation of America image and the experiences from the perspective of information dissemination, national image construction and international relations, and puts forward to the most important is the development of trust between countries. |
