The Mass Thoughts Of Mao Zedong And Its Contemporary Enlightenment

Mao Zedong is a proletariat revolutionist, strategist, theorist,outstandingleader of international Communist movement and great Marxist,who isuniversally acknowledged in the20th century and poses profound influence onthe history of the world.He is also a distinguished man who leads millions ofChinese people to completely change their oppressed destiny. A series ofideological theories created by Mao has played unprecedented role in advancingthe cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics under the leadership ofCommunist Party and promoting the framework of international political patternin the20th century. In particularly, the thoughts of the masses contained in MaoZedong Thought has rich scientific connotation.This thesis studies Mao Zedong’s thoughts of the masses from thefollowing three aspects: firstly, the background and the development of MaoZedong’s mass thoughts are described. As a great achievement of the era, theformation and development of Mao Zedong’s mass thoughts is closely related tothe national situation of semi-colonial and semi-feudal society and internationalfactors, including the background, theory origin and practical foundation,which combine the national liberation movement and the imperialist wars.Theformation of his development has three stages, namely, the embryonic stage（1901—1925）；the preliminary formation stage（1925—1943）；and the richdevelopment stage（1943—1976）.Secondly, this thesis discusses the main content of Mao Zedong’s massthoughts and its characteristics. Setting the question in the specific historicalrange has a significant influence on today’s learning and scientificallyestablishing correct principles and policies. This part includes two aspects. Onone hand, the basic content of Mao Zedong’s mass thoughts is clarified, whichconsists of the views of the masses，the mass line and working methods. On theother hand, the author analyses the characteristics, i.e. the natures of historic,class, systematic and scientific.Lastly, the thesis discusses the development and revelation of the massthoughts of Mao Zedong in the contemporary. In the first part, Deng Xiaopingfurther develops and carries forward the mass thoughts of Mao Zedong,followed by Jiang Zemin、Hu Jintao and Xi Jinping. In the second part, theauthor explores the significances of adherence and development of the massthoughts of Mao Zedong, including the necessity for dealing with the internalrelation between the people, the theoretical guidance to correctly handle withthe relationship between cadres and masses, powerful guarantee for achievingthe blueprint of “China Dream” and strategic guideline in vigorously advancingthe layout of “Four Comprehensive”. Currently in new period, our country, facing more arduous historical tasks,is at a critical stage of building a harmonious socialist society, therefore, theexpansion of the in-depth study of Mao Zedong’s thinking can help us leadcadres to set up strong opinions of the masses，correctly deal with contradictionsamong the people and the relationships between the party and the masses andbetween the cadres and masses, which play a crucial role in the construction of aharmonious socialist society and at the same time，provide a certain theoreticalsupport for the realization of the “Chinese Dream” and “Four Comprehensive”.
