While America be willing to accept and initiative to becomeMongolia’s "third neighbors" is the result of comprehensive consideration of itsglobal strategy, especially the strategy of backing to Asia Pacific, developing the"third neighbors" diplomatic relations with Mongolia is particularly important andurgent. Under the guidance of the "third neighbor" diplomacy, there are in-depthdevelopments in political, economic, military and cultural areas between the twocountries. With the in-depth development of the two countries, the impact andinfluence will also be expanded to neighboring countries and regions. Developmentsbetween the two countries, will has underestimated impact to the security pattern ofNortheast Asia and the security situation of China in some extent. Mongolia asChina’s northern neighbor, the border line extends to4677km, the stability of thesurrounding environment is crucial for Chinese safety. Meanwhile, Mongolia’s "thirdneighbors" foreign policy itself has its practical significance. Mongolia and theUnited States are not geographically neighboring but call each other neighboringcountries, in terms of Mongolia, developing foreign relations with the worldsuperpower provides a guarantee for the independence and security of Mongolia andcreates a new pattern of diplomacy for small country. Today, the small countries areoften seen as weak, and weak countries in history were often considered as thecountry who have non diplomacy, but the successful "third neighbors" diplomacy ofthe United States and Mongolia shows that a small country also has a large diplomacy.In a certain extent it also shows that a’ weak’ country cannot squeeze into the rank ofthe great powers, but it is entirely possible to start its independent and big diplomacywith its own advantages.
