The Study On Social Revenge In Transformation Period Of China

China has entered into a rapidly running society of transforming period along with her deep-going reform since1978. The direction to the reform and opening policy is undoubtedly correct; it promoted the transformation of social structure, resources such as the area between the flows, greatly enhancing the social vitality; promote the rapid development and prosperity of society. At the same time, along with the deepening of the reform, adjust the pattern of interests, social differentiation between different groups and the main conflicts has become increasingly serious, the social structure of the China is in a state of imbalance relatively. Social revenge, is a reflection of social contraction in the transformation period, has been a serious threat to people’s personal safety and social stability, a prominent problem affecting the construction of a harmonious society in China.The weak take revenge measures because of full of hatred to the strong and the society. Social belongs to non traditional crime, different from the other crimes. Its participants are generally at the bottom of the society. They suffer social difference and discrimination, injustice treatment has make their heart full of discontent and hatred, plus some subjective factors, finally lead to generate the ideas to revenge the whole society. Their methods of crime and crime tools are hardly to forecast, any weapons are likely to become their selections. More importantly, their objects are not the direct stakeholders but for the whole society. Commonly those objects are tending to be benign and feeble, such as children, women, and elderly and so on. They hope that by making the cases which are full of bloody, can cause the high concern of the whole society and even cause widespread fear, to give vent to their long-term accumulation of social discontent and hatred, for example, a series murder of children in the campus, the2002Nanjing "9.14Tangshan giant poisonings" etc.Social revenge has been a serious threat to social harmony and social stability. But by now China’s current social revenge has not been given sufficient attention, both the academic and society are mainly concentrated in the social emergency security incidents which are with the large number of participants, broader extent effective, and the emergency level is usually based on the number of participants according, lack the research and measure on the social revenge. So far, the relevant literature and books about social revenge are very few.China has entered the high risks society. Taking this as the background, this paper is focus on analyzing the characteristics and causes of social retaliation, and base on the Coser’s theory about the safety valve system, I will strive to explore the reasonable measures to resolve social revenge. I hope through my paper can attract the society especially the government’s concentration about social revenge. So the government can take steps to protect people’s interests and social harmony.
