Research On The Development Of Nursing Home Care Of Yangpu District, Shanghai

After 1980s of the 20th century, population of our country increased speedly with the development of national economy. In 2012, elderly population who aged 60 and over 60 are 193.9 million. In 2020, the population who aged 60 and over 60 will up to 243 million and will over 200 million in 2025. More and more attentions are paid to the old and nursing home care problem.As an important force, how nursing homes develop and whether they will meet different requirements of nursing services are key factors of playing a role and bearing the burden of socialized nursing home care.Quality of nursing home care will be improved by systematically studying the development, finding problems and difficulties in the nursing home care process and putting forward proposals.This paper studies the development of nursing home care of Yangpu district, Shanghai and points out the situation and the characteristics. Then, the paper puts forward the problems and causes of nursing home care in Yangpu district and raises the suggestions of improving the nursing home care by drawing useful experiences from foreign countries and other areas in China and combing theories of new public service.
