The Research Of The Cooperation Between NPO And NPO Supportive Organization Aiming For NPO’s Organizational Capacity Building

As a rising power of building a harmonious society, NPO of our country has been developed rapidly these years. Meanwhile, it cannot be concealed that some NPOs in China are facing hardships such as lack of funds, lack of legitimacy, lack of volunteerism and so on. The approach to fix all these inadequate is inconclusive. Recently, NPO supportive organization has been an emerging force in dealing with the above situations. The corporation between NPO and NPO supportive organization is becoming a new approach for NPO’s organizational capacity building, which at the same time go with the trend of the transformation of government function.The paper firstly explains four kinds of the corporation models, with 16 NPOs and NPO supportive organizations as examples. Capability support, fund support, material support and platform support make up most of the corporation content. Besides, the paper argues the forming and output of the corporation are very crucial in evaluating the corporation. Both NPO and NPO supportive organization’s willingness, relation base and service cost would be effective to the forming, while factors as who initiates, what the goal is, how are their capability and how deep is the corporation will finally affect the achievement of the goal.For more and better corporations between NPO and NPO supportive organization, efforts should be done as below. Firstly, explicit demand, high value of both problem-solving output and the process and initiative communication is required for NPOs. Secondly, as for NPO supportive organization, differentiated positioning, proper distance with government and consistent developing strategy might help in better service provide.Finally, the government should play an important role in constructing a friendly and encouraging environment, while the media helping for more exposure to the public.
