An ageing population will not only make bring-up elderly population ratio increases, also cause the increasing proportion of elderly people live in the empty-nest family and weakeningthe family endowment function. At the same time, it’s a severe challenge for the current aged social、medical security systerm, and the national public policy. Thus, we must attach great impartance and make a research in-depth about how to build an response system to the ageing populationAging is a complex and comprehensive problems. In particular, social security system ought to constantly improved, the construction of social endowment security system be strengthened, a broader and more diverse elderly social service network be established, social welfare and welfare facilities be developed to meet the basic needs of the old people.This article, based on the background of population aging in our country, taking Inner Mongolia as an example, did a systematic research of the Inner Mongolia population ageing.
