Children play a very important role in our development of modern society, and children protecting means a lot to our civilization. In recent years, a lot of events about child abuse appeared. Abusing subjects include family members, and teachers, nurses, nannies and other members beyond family number. Facing such a serious abuse behavior, the author thinks that it is necessary for our country to review our criminal law system. Explore the current criminal law to sanction the status quo of child abuse in our country, and finds the unreasonable place in criminal law. And try to find the way of improving the system of criminal law in our country. And to strengthen the regulation and prevention for child abuse, and protect the healthy growth of children by doing this.This article includes four parts except the introduction. The first part is the summary of child abuse, this paper introduces the definition, characteristics of children, child abuse, classification, and the impact of child abuse, etc. so we can has an overall understanding about child abuse. In the second part the author introduces us our country’s criminal law for the sanction status of child abuse, firstly, the author states how the crime of abusing sanction the child abuse, and if any problem exists,and the crime of abusing can sanction the child abuse made by family members only. Then the author discusses the use of other crimes in regulating the child abusing from members beyond family members. The third part the author research the system of criminal laws about the child abusing, in United States, Japan, Europe and Hong Kong, summarizes the characteristics of laws in regulating the child abuse. In the last part, through analysis and reflection, the author states his own suggestions about improving the criminal law to sanction the child abuse better.
