As the proportion of elderly population is rising in the total population, our country has become an elder nation since 1999. Facing with the acceleration of China’s aging, supporting issues of elders began to receive widespread attention. Chinese traditional thinking has impacted people’s attitude towards the way of old-age care. The opinion that raising children to take care of elder is rooted in people’s supporting idea. Chinese generally agree that home care is the best way for elders. But with the implementing of family plane and the changing of fertility desire, the structure offamily has been downsizing. The reducing number of children breaks the home care method, which was lasted for thousand years. The quick arrival of aging society makes the social nursing system can’t meet elder’s endowment demands. At meantime, the elder reject the idea of living in a nursing institution. In order to satisfy elder’s idea of nursing, the development of nursing system are struggling. At the beginning of the 90’s, the community endowment began to gradually advance. Due to the inefficient use of endowment resources, the endowment system can’t design the service mode according to different service object. From the viewpoint of professional social work, this study attempts to research the endowment demands in university community. Andalso tries to find the way of social work intervention. According to the research, the object designed for is ordinary elders, community endowment is not applicable to high-level intellectual elders among university community. Compared with other old people,high-level intellectual elders attach more importance to their children’s education and future career development. Thus, their children generally have higher educational level and better jobs, which cause high-level intellectual elders have less children to live around. So the possibilities for them to live alone are higher than ordinary elders. High-level intellectual elders have ability to bear the cost of nursing service cause the stable retirement income. They have a higher pursuit for the quality of service. The job before they retired has a certain social status. Therefore, high-level intellectual elders are reluctant to admit the fact that they need help. But the difficulties are not known by society, thus, their endowment demands are hard to meet. As a professional social supporting system, social workcan play to their strength at discovering the special demands of high-level intellectual elders. Therefore, analyzing the special needs of high-level intellectual elders and proposing targeted social interventions are undoubtedly an important help to alleviating the difficult of nursing elders under the background of aging population. Also, the study of social work intervention pattern has important reference meaning for developing service of elders. This paper is using interview method and questionnaire investigation to investigate the present situation of high-level intellectual elders.
