Intervention Research Of Social Work On The Home Endowment Service In Community

This paper uses the methods of documental analysis, interview and participatory observation to discuss how to use social work to provide home endowment service in community. This paper take X elderly service center as an example to explore the interventional situation of social work in home endowment service, in terms of agency staff’s social work quality, Service philosophy and values, service contents and methods. Basing on the current situation, the problem of lacking of social work intervention in home endowment service is discovered. The problem embody in:first is the problem in the process of service delivery, lacking of the demand evaluation before service, no plan and no supervision during the service, lacking of effectiveness evaluation after service. Second is the problem in the process of management, lacking of professional social workers and low service enthusiasm, staff training is not standardized and the ability of developing new resources is poor.After the discovery of these problems, firstly using the theory analysis the feasibility of professional social work intervening in family endowment service and which improvement and change there will be after taking advantage of professional social work. Then to discuss the specific intervention path. This paper puts forward the idea of intervention of social work in the path of the home endowment service from the micro, medium and macro three levels. Micro refers to that social work provide the direct service as role of designer and provider, taking a case counseling program for instance to show the specific work processes. Medium level refers to that the social work’s assignment in the home endowment service as a manager role. Macro level refers to that the social work to improve the current services as a policy advisor. Hope that through the three aspects of social work intervention, can optimize the home endowment service quality.
