Abstract/Summary:
Xinjiang is the largest provincial-level administrative regions of China; there are47 ethnic lives in this land. Thus, it also created their diversity and prosperity culture.The intangible cultural heritage of this region occupies a large proportion whether in China or the world. With the more intangible cultural heritage protection work in depth, the increasingly find the critical role of the inheritance in intangible cultural heritage protection work is. Especially, the decent heritage protection work in the legal level, not only would promote China and the world’s cultural diversity, but also could reflect the core values of the socialist country under the present circumstances.By research and field study in term of legal protection of the intangible cultural heritage in Xinjiang region, one could better understand the current situation and how does the laws apply to protect the intangible cultural heritage, as well as to conduct the further observation to the existence of the problem. However, either the administrative regulations promulgated by the state- "People’s Republic of China Intangible Cultural Heritage Law", or the local regulation of the Xinjiang Autonomous Region, regardless of the enforcement or the written form, all of those have a certain defects and deficiencies regarding of the intangible cultural heritage protection. Therefore, considering the importance of the intangible cultural heritage protection work, the real question would be how to make the law more complete and better to solve the problem.This paper attempts to use the field research as the base, along with the current situation faced by the intangible cultural heritage of Xinjiang, by analyzes the causes of the problem exist in the legal protection of intangible cultural heritage, to develop the relevant comments and suggestions. Moreover to promote intangible cultural heritage protection further on; especially in discussion of the potential reasonable changes of law on heritage protection.
