The Legislation Suggestions For Safety Supervision On Genetically Modified Food Of Our Country

Transgenic food have gained favour from many countries and science organizationsover the world with its own advantage, since the first generation of transgenic foodwas put into the market in90’s last century.Within less than20years time,the varietiesand quantities of transgenic food have increased continuously,and its production scalehas expanded day and night,this brings a positive effect on reliefing the contradictionbetween increase of population and shortage of food. However,as the production ofthe transgene technologe,transgenic food has been doubted by all walks of societysince its birth,and the question is whether it is a safe food or not? And whether it willharm the natural environment to plant transgenic food heavily. the science circlescannot give certain answers to this sort of questions.Plus transgenic food also involvesin morality,ethic and religion,ect,this makes questions about it be morecomplicated.For the sake of ensuring the consumers’ right of body health and toinformation,and avoiding the harm to the consumers from some uncertainelements,most countries in world have begun to regulate transgenic food by law, Andthe scholars have transfered their attention to this field of transgenic food safetysupervision. This paper elaborates the current situation of the safety supervision lawof transgenic food in our country,and analyzes the mainly existed problems,and putsforward some advice to improve our nation’s safety supervision legal system oftrasnsgenic food through the contrast against the west countries.Except for the conclusion words,this paper includes three parts.The first part is aoverview about the transgenic food and its statute for safety supervision.
