With the development of the globalization and the increasingly fierce competitionin the information age, corporations around the world are looking for effective ways toimprove their production efficiency so as to better survive this society. So is the samewith the government—as its functions are gradually changing, to enhance and improvethe work of performance evaluation of the government officials has become animportant way to improve their performance.In China, the staff in Discipline inspection and supervision Section are nationalgovernment officials; in recent years, the central government has been demandinghigher standards to the work of anti-corruption and the building of a clean government.Also, the increasing areas involved in the prevention of the corruption are challengingthe competence of the officials work in the Discipline inspection and supervisionSection. To establish a scientific and practical evaluation system for the officials inDiscipline inspection and supervision Section which can evaluate them in an objective,fair and comprehensive way will be significant for the protection of the rights andinterests of the people as well as the government.This paper studies on the performance evaluation work of the staff in Disciplineinspection and supervision Section in X County. Their actual work is related and theproblems are analyzed, for example, the setting of the standards is not so scientific andmotivating. Based on the analysis, some proposals are put forward to redesign theirevaluation system by referring to the factor rating method, Delphi method,360-degreeappraisal feedback method, analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensiveevaluation. In the final chapters of the paper, some solutions are brought out such as toimprove the performance management culture, to gradually implement the evaluationbased on classification, to institutionalize the evaluation work and to use theevaluation results properly. This study is significant for the promotion of the work of the performance evaluation in the Discipline inspection and supervision Section in XCounty as well as for the establishment of evaluation system based on classification inthe local county.
