Research On Food Safety Crime Of China From The Perspective Of Criminology

As the saying goes：Bread is the staff of life. Food safety is a major issue thatrelated to the vital interests of the community. Food safety crime is not onlydisturbing the order of the market economy, but also damaging human healthseriously. It can cause social panic as worse as possible. Therefore, this articleattempts to start from the perspective of criminology to describe the current situationof China’s food safety crimes and analyze the crux of the problem. Starting from theindividual of crime and social factors to analyze the causes of food safety crime inChina,put forward to countermeasures of prevention and control of food safetycrime in China,in order to reduce the incidence of food safety crimes effectively.The main body of the article consists of the following three parts:The first part is an overview of food safety crime. Firstly,to define the basicconcept of food safety and the concept of food safety crime of Criminology. Thenbased on summarizing the status of Food Safety Crime, to analyze criminologicalcharacteristics such as time, space, objects, methods of crime, criminals etc.The second part is the analysis of the causes of food safety crime in our country.This paper takes the crime theory point of view, choose the reasons which couldexplain the food safety crime from the numerous domestic and foreign theory ofcrime causes to explain the reasons for food safety crimes, and on this basis, toanalyze individual and social causes of food safety crime.The third part is the food safety crime prevention countermeasures in china.Firstly, this paper introduces the governance of food safety crime experience in USA,EU and Japan. It can help to improve China’s food safety supervision mechanism.China mulls harsher penalties for food safety crimes.Secondly,Put forward specificprevention measures from the government, producers, society angle.Carry on thekey analysis to improve the food safety regulatory system.Emphasize to set up aspecial "food police" to be responsible for food safety crime investigation and lawenforcement work.
