With the development of genetically modified food, also intensified the debate on GMfoods, there may be a negative impact on human and ecological environment. The key toresolving the dispute is to protect the transferred gene consumer’s right to information toenable consumers to make a scientific and rational judgment on the basis of fully informed ofgenetically modified foods, it is a good switch to the healthy development of geneticallymodified foods market. So, a lot of countries pay attention to the protection of the safety ofgenetically modified foods and the consumer’s right to know, in China government, issued aseries of provisions to strengthen the safety management of genetically modified and havebeen early into the system, and achieved some success in turning genes consumers’ rightprotection, such as mandatory labeling system for the implementation of genetically modifiedfoods.However, due to genetically modified food regulations imperfect, the result is that thereare many problems in practice, no genetically modified food safety management andconsumer rights protection played a positive role, and may even become the consumers’ rightsto achieve obstacles. Including the legislative level is low, the contents of the legislationinconsistent, too narrow to identify the management objects, identified subject is too small,many different kinds of logo, logo containing less information is not clear, the securityclassification standards, safety testing standards and safety testing organization unity, thegovernment don’t play the important role in the protection of consumer rights and so on.Of GM safety management and consumers’ right to protection of the rights of theshortcomings and deficiencies, we should take appropriate measures to continuously improvegenetically modified food safety management system. According to Junan County consumersresearch, this paper has comprehensive understanding of the awareness of county-level smalland medium-sized urban consumers in the process of genetically modified foodcommercialization of genetically modified, the attitude of acceptance of genetically modifiedfoods, GMO labeling attention, the state regulations cognitive analysis of the conservation status of genetically modified consumer, less than, and perfect the management of geneticallymodified food safety, protecting consumers’ right to make recommendations.
