Reading class is an important skill training course when we teach Chinese as a foreign language.The research on reading text book should be regarded seriously. 《Chinese Reading Course》 is a classic reading text book which is widely used for a long time. The research of 《Chinese Reading Course》 has important effect to improve the quality of reading text book.With the theory of reading psychology research the 《 Chinese Reading Course 》,we respectively from the angles of reading concepts and skills training analysis of reading psychology in the application of the text book.In the aspect of reading philosophy,the book presents the following characteristics in writing: format design and strokes of Chinese characters of the teaching materials components used in teaching reading sensory storage presents image representation theory;word repetition of comprehensive course content and the new words in the text table reflects the editor’s build on learners’ mental lexicon;in the teach strokes in Chinese characters and phrases teaching using the word superiority effect in the reading psychology;Chinese characters display in the words, phrases, sentences and pictures with the text embodies the editor’s attention to the use of contextual effect;the first two copies of the text with the context of the recording reflected the reading process pay attention to the voice of intervention;read the prompt question with activated psychological schemata in readers’ mind to help understand the text.In the reading skills training,The book uses gough reading mode, and means of identification of lexical chunks, reading mode, reading speed and knowledge accumulation, cultural background and concept of teaching theory.At an Angle of Reading Psychology, the textbook also has some deficiencies.Such as the lack of knowledge of the teaching program、lack of learners’ skills training 、 learners mental map activation inadequate and that the third book is too difficult for learners to learn. Finally under the guidance of the reading psychology of 《 Chinese Reading Course 》 four-point optimization improved Suggestions.First, the need to increase reading skills training system, followed by the complete teaching materials supporting resources, make full use of re-activation of the text and the background image Readers mental map to help understand the last third textbook to enhance the readability of text and relevance in order to reduce difficulty.
