Since the 1990 s,our Socialist Market Economy was gradually established and the speed of urbanization was accelerated.Economic prosperity makes the society take on an altogether new aspect.At the same time,with television and the Internet as the main body of the rapid rise of the electronic media.By the current situation of rapid economic development,postmodern consumer culture are becoming more common.This caused the social context of China changed significantly which media and consumption social context was generated.On the basis of this,Body Narrative Literature in the 1990 s as a strain of weeds along the media and consumer society that shares a prairie fire burning off.Body Narrative Literature in the 1990 s showing a variety of literary landscape,such as elite writing in the ideal of the stick to resist secular,they expressed that human spirit can’t be deleted by means of the transfer, but popular writing was conformed to the prosperity of popular culture,they affirmed that the “material desire””emotional desire”were reasonable,however, female writing wants to construct the female subjectivity with the help of body writing and they have experienced the process of redemption to self exile.In the 1990’s,the body narrative successfully broke through the “tradition””enlightenment””reason”and so on,meanwhile it restored the subjectivity of people,it also through the “aesthetics of daily life”and”aesthtics of body”to broadens the aesthetic realm of literature.To meet the need of the market and the public,body narrative exhibited excessive obsession with desire,and the body can be treated as selling goods.At the same time,the hot pursuit of the consumption makes the body in a new round of autocratic,this means the metaphysical spiritual world was completely occupied by the physical body.By the way, the body narrative of literature in 1990 s is mainly based on desire narration,this leads to the fall of humanistic care and the defeat of the literary aesthetic.This paper was based on the study of the social context of China in 1990 s andfocused on the brokethrough from two aspects of literary landscape and literature construction,and then discussed the fall of the body narrative in the 1990 s.The body narrative under the influence of media and consumer society unable to avoid the tendency of market development and popularization,but literature itself neither banished spirit and the soul nor gived up the aesthetic transcendence.At last but not least,from the body to the soul was the final homeward journey of body narrative of literature in 1990 s.
