With the development of China’s Reform and Opening up and globalization, as well as the rise of China, the world is eager to know China, and China is also eager to know the world, which gives the foreign language learners and translators golden opportunities. As a postgraduate major in translation, translating is not only academic work for us, but the trend of the world. What’s more, with the development of international relationships, people are turning their attention from “hard power” which includes sovereignty and military, etc. to “soft power” that includes values and cultural appeal, etc.This paper specifically describes the whole course of this translation task. Firstly, it’s task description, including project background and text feature. Then it goes to preparation, schedule and the theory “functional equivalence” of the project. Secondly, some cases are analyzed about how the difficulties are dealt with and how the theory and skills are used for the translation task. Finally, weak points and the feelings of the translator are talked about, and what the next work the translator is going to do is also mentioned.Learning English is difficult, translating is more difficult, and cherish what you have at the moment. After this task, the translator has had a deep understanding for translation which is a piece of knowledge and also an art. What the translator is going to do is learning more knowledge and improving the expression level of Chinese.
