Lao Qida, which possesses a high level of oral character, is the textbook to learn Chinese in Korea peninsula from Yuan dynasty to Qing dynasty. It has many versions because of revising repeatedly. At present, Ancient edition Lao Qida(Yuan dynasty),Lao Qida Yanjie(Ming dynasty), Lao Qida Xinshi and Chongkan Lao Qida(Qing dynasty) are the main versions. Those versions reflect Chinese Characteristics of different times during the three dynasties, which provide wonderful corpus and facts for making research about the changes and development of modern Chinese. In this paper,we choose adverbs in four versions of Lao Qida as main object of our study, try our best to analyze the adverbs comprehensively and statistically, to reveal the overview of adverbs from Yuan dynasty to Qing dynasty, which have the features of Laoqida.Besides, we provide a reference standard for the study of history of Chinese language and a proposal for the compiling of textbook for teaching Chinese as a second language.This article contains 7 parts:Introduction: defining the study object; sorting out the study status; explaining the research significance and method; illustrating the way of selecting corpus.Chapter One: Through analyzing the adverbs in Lao Qida, we get 199 adverbs and divide them into seven categories.Then we describe the seven categories respectively.At last we analyze the special adverbs in modern Chinese and those particular adverbs in Laoqida at the length.Chapter Two: Classifying and analyzing the associative function of the adverbs in Lao Qida. Its collocations are divided into verb structure, adjective structure, noun phase, sentence or clause. By illustrating adverbs with multiple functions and adverbs coexistence, we summarize the taxeme of different types of adverbs and the connection order of adverbs in Lao Qida.Chapter Three: Through discussing about the semantic orientation of adverbs in Lao Qida, we find that adverb semantics cannot only direct to predicate but also subject,object, other components in sentence or sentence itself. By describing the relation of form and meaning of adverbs, we also analyze the phenomenon of polysemy and many words referring to one meaning and explain its reason.Chapter Four: We studying about the adverbs in Lao Qida comparatively. By contrasting the adverbs quantity, usage, inflection and semantics in Lao Qida, we get aknowledge about the time characteristics of different adverbs. Contrasting those adverbs in Lao Qida with those in modern Chinese time, we can get to know about the used,disappeared and changed adverbs. What’s more, we made a survey about the differences and relations between contemporary Chinese adverbs and modern Chinese ones.Chapter Five: By contrastively analyzing the quantity, difficulty and category of adverbs in Lao Qida and The Lexical Syllabus, we hope to find out the values of Lao Qida on second language teaching. Except that, starting from the difficulty, object and standard of choosing words, we offer some suggestions for text books during teaching Chinese as a second language.Conclusion: Summarize the characteristics of adverbs in Lao Qida. Conclude the quantity and characteristics of times when it produced. Then we explain about its prominent features, illustrating the evolution characteristics of adverbs among the four editions and the similarities and differences between adverbs in Lao Qida and modern Chinese adverbs. Generalize Lao Qida’s value and enlightenment on the history of teaching Chinese as second language.
