This article takes the exhibit wall design of historical events memorial halls as research subject and is carried out based on related visual perception theories for the layout of historical events memorial halls requires the exhibit content be highly accurate, intuitive, commemorative, symbolic and aesthetic while the representation and feedback of such features are closely related to issues on design psychology such as visual perception. Therefore, this article explores exhibit wall design of historical events memorial halls from the perspective of visual perception.Memorial Hall is designed to display historical relics and photographs for commemorating significant historical events or people who have made outstanding contributions to our country or society, and allows public places for visitors to learn and watch the exhibits of educational, historical, social, aesthetic value. The memorial hall design aims to attract the attention of visitors and pass on the display content to them, making them emotionally moved and immersed in the atmosphere of the memorial hall. The whole process, in fact, means a series of visual perception activities depending on the visual organs of visitors, namely a visitors’ psychology cognition reflection of the numerous information features cognized by the visual organs of visitors. The key of the success of an exhibition is to understand the psychological features and psychological laws of perceptual activities of visitors during visit.
