| This thesis is a translation project report. The original text of the project report is Open Access, Megajournals, and MOOCs: On the Political Economy of Academic Unbundling written by Richard Wellen.The ideas of open access and massive open online courses have been introduced into China for a long time, however, the development of them are still immature. Except from institutions of higher education, awareness of these two by the general public is still at a low level as well as the usage rate of open access resources. By translating this original text, I hope to promote people’s comprehensive understanding of open access journals and massive open online courses.According to relevant translation theories, this report is based on the translation practice to analyze the translation process. First of all, the report sketches the background and significance of the translation project, and describe the translation theoretical framework and preparation before translation. Then, the report elaborates the whole translation process and case analysis. At last, it summarizes the experience in the light of the translation practice and the process of writing translation report. |
