As an important role in the aesthetic criticism of ancient Chinese literary theory,Category plays the basic conception of classical aesthetics and poetics theory, and Qu is the core aesthetic category about ancient Chinese poetry and literary theory. Especially, along with the emergence of capitalist economic development, expansion of civil society, and the emergence of a large number of scholars and critics in the Qing Dynasty, this aesthetic standard was not only placed on the literati’s shelves, it was also gradually practiced in ordinary citizens’ life. The critics of the Qing Dynasty used Qu to comment on poems and articles wide, they made it a core aesthetic standard and be deepened gradually on the basis of ancient poetics. The Qing Dynasty poetry are splendid, and discussion on the aesthetic category — Qu can not be in the round, therefore, this paper is mainly based on the Ding Fubao’s Essays Qing Poetry and the Continuation on Qing Poetry which compiled by Guo Shaoyu to sort out the related sub-categories about Qu, then deeply to discuss the origin of culture and ideas of Qu in the Qing poetry, the aesthetic meaning, aesthetic characteristics,and its aesthetic significance.Firstly, the category of Qu has been in the deepening period in the Qing dynasty, and it was popular in this period. The writer lists several representative critics of poetry from the numerous as the main object to study. Secondly, the relevant sub-category of poetics in Qing Dynasty’s Qu is the most important one of this thesis, and analysis or discussion are mainly on the four major different aesthetic forms of Qu’s sub-categories: Li Qu,Feng Qu, Tian Qu,and Yi Qu, then have a better understanding of the different forms of Qu. Finally, the aesthetic meaning of Qu in the Qing Dynasty poetry focuses on the aesthetic awareness and aesthetic pursuit of the critics themselves, the interpretation of the poets, the requirement of poetry, and its meaning on philosophical perspective. As for the aesthetic features of Qu in the Qing Dynasty poetry, it has the epochal and historical character, attribute to the influence of the special society.
