| Nowadays, many Chinese enterprises tend to publicize their products and build up a trust-worthy enterprise image by means of internet in the rapid growth of information networking.Enterprise websites serve as an important medium for potential business partners to obtain information about them. However, the English versions of some Chinese enterprises need further improvement. This paper sets out to make comparative analysis of 20 corporate profiles chosen from home and abroad by applying skopos theory and functionality plus loyalty to the C-E translation of corporate profiles in Shaanxi Province. After analyzing the respective features of the chosen corporate profiles, the study moves on to the case study of the existing problems of the English versions of corporate profiles in Shaanxi Province, and puts forward the target reader-oriented translation strategy and specific translation methods to prove the applicability of the functionalist theory to the C-E translation of corporate profiles. |
