Slavoj Zizek is one of the most famous scholars in western academic world. He combined Lacan’theory with Marxism. He used Psychoanalytic theory to analyze the popular culture and ideology. He has a lot of works. He is good at exploring the phenomenon of ideology from films and novels. He finds out that the ideology gradually affects people’s lives by the Psychoanalytic theory. Also he gives us a new view to research the popular culture. His theory break up the different between the high culture and the popular culture. And his understanding about people’s psychology expands the cognition of popular culture.
