For Wang Zengqi who was seeking novelty and difference, changing was inevitable and it was only a matter of time. He was content with his lot to be the people on the edge of literary. He returned to his original nature in the washing of time when he was old. These were the reasons that he reformed. The value and significance of the changes of the novels in the 1990s on the one hand in poetic and absurd--comprehensive cognition of the word. Unlike poetic in the 1980s,the creation in the 1990s focused on revealing the absurd of the word. From poetic to absurd,it is extension to his creation. Wang Zengqi formed his comprehensive cognition of the word. On the other hand, repression and awakening--the call of the tragic spirit. Wang Zengqi no longer evade and self-deceive, he opened the veil of Utopia, showing the subjectivity and authenticity of creating novels. Wang Zengqi had the courage to expose the pain of human nature and undertake the pain. He is peculiar in the Chinese literary world which is lack of tragic spirit.
