Grammar Teaching is the base component of second language teaching all the time. It is also the key and difficult part in language learning. Based on the viewpoint, choosing a wonderful textbook has become the basic part to support teaching activities. While, different textbooks have different way to deal with grammar teaching. An excellent grammar interpretation system always has great benefit in students’ learning.In this paper, I choose Integrated Chinese published by Cheng&Tsui as my research object, trying to analysis the explanation of grammar points. Integrated Chinese is the most popular Chinese Textbook in the US. Compared with many domestic textbooks, it has great difference in arrangement and context, so it is worth to be discussed. On the other side, concerning of the successful popularize in America, we found that it is much more suitable for foreigners’ learning habits in texts words and grammar. So through grammar points analysis and summarize, we hope it can be helpful in textbook-compilation.The first part of this paper is introduction, making a brief introduction of the purpose of our study. The second part tells us the frame of this textbook. It is consisted of five parts:text, words, grammar, language practice and culture. We hope readers have an overall acknowledgment about Integrated Chinese. The third part is analyzing characters of grammar paraphrase in English:this chapter can be divided into two parts, one is characters of the English paraphrase of grammar point, the other is translation of example sentences. I concluded the characters into six points, making an analysis of each point.In the forth part, through the analysis of characters of grammar, we can summarize the advantage and disadvantage of grammar points in this textbook. In the fifth part, after learning the strong and weak points, we can give some suggestions of further redaction of grammar points.The mean purpose of this paper is trying my best to make an analysis about grammar points’ English paraphrase of Integrated Chinese. I hope through my learning, on one hand, we can make some help in textbook compilation, on the other hand, we can also make contribution in academic research in this field.
