| The problem of peasants leaving village is a widespread social problem in the development process of the modern Chinese society. On the one hand, the causes of the problem of peasants leaving village have close relations with the development of economy in rural areas and the changes of the society in particular historical periods; On the other hand, the problem of peasants leaving village has a great influence on the local society and economy. Therefore, exploring the problem of peasants leaving village in particular historical periods and regions is of great historical and practical significance.This thesis selects the problem of peasants leaving village in Gan-Ning-Qing region during the republican period as the research object. Based on the reference of related literature and comprehensive analysis, this thesis applies history, economics and sociology into analyzing the background of peasants leaving village in Gan-Ning-Qing region during the republican period from the perspective of social history and economic history. On this basis, firstly, the author explored the basic conditions and features of the problem of peasants leaving village in Gan-Ning-Qing region during the republican period; secondly, the author makes the comprehensive analysis on the influences on the local economic and social development caused by the problem of peasants leaving village in Gan-Ning-Qing region during the republican period; thirdly, the author makes the performance analysis on the measures taken by Nanking national government and local government of Gan-Ning-Qing. Through analyzing, it can be deduced that under the social, political, and economic situations at that time, no matter it is the loan policy to peasants and the reclamation policy advocated by Nanking national government, or the relief policy and the building watercourse policy proposed by local government of Gan-Ning-Qing, the effect is very little. Facts have proved that the problem of peasants leaving village won’t be solved effectively if China’s political environment and traditional economic system in rural areas cannot be changed. |
