The Negative Influences And Solutions Of Digital Effects On Film-art

As to film-making, the emergence of digital visual effect is a double-edged sword, which brings new challenges while overturning film-making. Digital visual effect can effectively reinforce sensory impact. However, if it is improperly utilized, the psychological impact that films exert to the audience will often be weakened.Relevant theoretical knowledge, such as film aesthetics, film psychology and film-making, is integrated in this paper, in which a number of films which take digital visual effect as the primary technique of creation are analyzed. Furthermore, the reinforced sensory impact brought by excessive utilization of digital visual effect to the audience is also analyzed. It includes the visual impact to the audience brought by picture composition, color, camera motion and frame design, as well as the auditory impact brought by music, acoustics and voice, and even tactile and gustatory impact brought by such film-watching facilities as 4D film. These forms that seem to be bustling restrict the audience’s imagination, disturbs the audiences’emotional accumulation and disclosure, which substantively weakens the psychological impact on the audience.The process of film-making and the psychology of the audience are taken as the starting point in the analysis and research. The mode, in which digital visual effect is utilized in film-making is elaborated. In addition, films which utilize digital visual effect are compared with traditional films, and the differences between the two types of film in content of expression, mode of creation and application of audio-visual language are summarized. Through the comparison and analysis, the influence of digital visual effect on the audience’s psychology during film-watching is summarized. Moreover, it is indicated that if digital visual effect is improperly utilized, it weakens the psychological impact on the audience while reinforcing the sensory impact.In terms of the adverse influence brought by the improper utilization of digital visual effect to the artistic expression of films, countermeasures of utilizing digital visual effect are proposed respectively from the mode of creation and audio-visual language. It is hoped that the adverse influence brought by excessive utilization of digital visual effect to artistic creation can be alleviated.
