William Shakespeare(1564-1616) is the most outstanding dramatist and poet of English literature during the Renaissance. He created a great number of great literature work in his life, which occupies an important position in the history of world literature.Shakespeare’s sonnets are considered to be the most special work in his literature creation. In these poems, he describes warm and complex emotions and exquisite thinking with deep writing style. On the basis of intensive reading of the text, this paper, complied with the principle of “To Shakespearean”, explores the mystery of lyric subject imagery in Shakespeare’s sonnets and explores its image-building process and its basic characteristics,especially analyses the desire discourse of the lyric subject. This paper also discusses how lyric subject image appeared under certain lyrical ways.The introduction of the paper briefly introduces the basic situation of Shakespeare’s sonnets, and points out the significance of contemporary study in Shakespeare’s sonnets,and then illustrates the reason of studying on the lyric subject in Shakespeare’s sonnets and its feasibility. At the same time the paper also combs the overview of the domestic and foreign research on Shakespeare’s sonnets.The first chapter of the Paper "The relative of the lyrical subject" analyses the reason for the flourish of biographical research, discusses that the literature research should keep its original intention---returning to the text, and should put the speakers "I" in Shakespeare’s sonnet differently from Shakespeare himself. Then it discusses the basic concept of lyric subject, points out that the image of lyric subject appears gradually in the process of text, that is in the process of words and actions the image appears. This chapter also discusses the basic characteristics of lyric subject of the poems.The second chapter of "desire and the lyrical subject", based on Marxist theoretician Fredric Jameson’s comments on French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan’s desire theory,analyzes desire discourse of the lyric subject in Shakespeare’s Sonnets, reveals the desire truth of the lyrical subject and the obstacles the lyric subject meet when realizing hisdesire.The third chapter "the image of lyric subject under different lyrical ways" combined with specific poems, analyzes how direct emotional expression, the choose of imagery and metaphor affects the lyric subject.Epilogue part reiterated the significance of analyzing the lyric subject in Shakespeare’s Sonnets.
