The Study On Hui Authors’ Novel Creation In Xinjiang And Qinghai Since The New Period

Hui novel has made significant achievements since the new period, in which appeared a number of outstanding Hui writers and their works enriched the national literature and the whole Chinese contemporary literature,among which novel has become the most important branch.The northwestern part in China is the main habitation for Hui people and has the largest population of Muslims.Xinjiang and Qinghai were two of five northwestern provinces in China,where contain multiple ethnic groups since the ancient times.Furthermore,the unique humanity cultural,history and geographical advantages make the Hui people there live.in a multi-cultural environment,which offers unique literal resources for Hui writers to create literary works.Most of the writers living in Xinjiang and Qinghai grew up under a national cultural atmosphere and have been deeply influenced by ethnological customs and cultures.Close blood contact and great ethnological affection linked these writers with their compatriots.They are proud of their people.The nation’s history and the present situation is the subject matter in their novels because of strong national consciousness,their creation had paid close attention to reality and focused on the fate of the nation,dug into national psychology,explored the eternal humanity, they possessed great creative enthusiasm and responsibility.Hui authors have such a strong sense of national identity,they described their hometown custom with sincere affection,their novels showed sad emotional appeal and reflected mostly ethnic tragic fate.They cherish their own people and realize the augean stables of traditional culture,so reflection and criticism became the tone of the novel,the tone enhanced the thought of their novels.Xinjiang and Qinghai locate in remote area and its economic and culture development lag behind,which lead to a slow development on literature.The development of Hui literature is facing difficulties.The arrival of information age of globalization conduced the change of the values and plural cultural zeitgeist,Hui authors should continue to maintain their own advantages and independence,draw the outstanding achievements of multiculturalism and promotion,they should constantly improve beyond himself and push Hui nationality literature into a new height.
