This report is a case study of the C-E translation of Wuzhong:A Region of Hui Ethnic Group Along the Yellow River from chapter six to chapter ten. This is a publicity text translation, which is carried out in the way of translation project. The source text mainly introduces Wuzhong’s philanthropy, local advantages, historical figures, tourism development and characteristic industries and Hui cuisine.Firstly, the author of the report describes the translation background and gives a general introduction to the source text and then introduces his preparation for translation and the translation process. Preparation for translation includes understanding the source text, the terminology and an introduction to Skopostheorie. Furthermore, the report describes the case analysis which is the core part of this report. Case analysis consists of translation of culture loaded words under skopos rule, translation of long sentences under coherence rule and discourse translation under fidelity rule. The culture-loaded words are divided into ancient Chinese official titles, political slogans and names of dishes. Meanwhile, the report describes some difficulties in the translation process and puts forward relevant translation methods such as literal translation, free translation, correspondence and explanation. Finally, the author of the report makes a conclusion and finds that a qualified translator needs not only good bilingual competence, but also perseverant enquiring mind as well as keen interest in translation.
