The Study Of The Folk Vocabularies Of "Er Pai"

"Er Pai" is the "Paianjingqi" and "Erke Paianjingqi" complied by Ling Mengchu. It is a vernacular novel of Late Ming. It occupies an important position in the history of Chinese fiction. The vernacular novels are from "speaking", so they use a lot of spoken language, are close to civilian life and can really reflect the actual language at that time. "Er Pai" which is called "Living fossil" of Ming Dynasty language has high value in corpora research.This article studies the folk vocabularies of "Er Pai", including the classification, origin, word formation method, the development and evolution and the interpretation of ethnic cultural psychology.This article contains five chapters:Chapter one is the preface which mainly definines the folk vocabularies, and dissertates the research situation, research significance, research methods of "Er Pai".Chapter two classifies the folk vocabularies of "Er Pai", and analyzes the characteristic of folk vocabularies. According to the content of folk vocabularies, the folk vocabularies of "Er Pai" are divided into three categories:material life category, social life category and spiritual life category.Under each category subdivided subcategories.Chapter three traces the origin of folk vocabularies of "Er Pai". The folk vocabularies of "Er Pai" are mainly from four aspects:production and living, character allusions, folk belief and poetry classics.Chapter four probes the word formation method of the folk vocabularies of "Er Pai". The word formation method of the folk vocabularies of "Er Pai" has three methods: morphology word formation, syntax word formation and rhetoric word formation. The three word formation method has been analyzed thoroughly.Chapter five studies the development and evolution of folk vocabularies of "Er Pai". It studies the folk vocabularies of "Er Pai" that meaning remain unchanged. It studies the folk vocabularies of "Er Pai" that disappeared and the reasons for the disappearance. It also studies the folk vocabularies of "Er Pai" that meaning changed and the method of change:amplification, deflation and metastasis. The folk vocabularies of "Er Pai" reflect the ethnic cultural psychology of valuling business, men enjoying higher status than women, exquisiting etiquette, playing emphasis on friendship, valuling filial and believing religious superstition.At last, conclusion. The folk vocabularies of "Er Pai" has been summarized and expounded comprehensively, we can observe the actual language in the Ming Dynasty,know about a lot of aspects of social life in the Ming Dynasty and perspective the ethnic cultural psychology.
