With the deepening of economic globalization, cooperation and exchanges between Chinese and foreign enterprises have become increasingly frequent. As an essential means of publicity, the C-E translation of corporate profiles plays an important role in establishing an enterprise’s image and enhancing its international competitiveness.Based on the Adaptation Theory, this thesis aims to discuss the strategies for C-E translation of corporate profiles. It comprises four chapters. Chapter One is an introduction of background information and the Adaptation theory. Chapter Two focuses on the procedure and approach of the study, and the differences between Chinese and English corporate profiles. Chapter Three is the core part which puts forward several strategies based on a number of examples from the perspective of adaptation. Chapter Four summarizes the achievements of this thesis and points out its significance and limitations.
