The Research On Marine Theme Oil Paintings

National Art Exhibition is the most authoritative and representative comprehensive theme exhibition that enjoys the most complete kinds. National Art Exhibition has been lasted for 65 years from the first session in 1949 to the fifth in 2014. It records the development process of Chinese oil painting since the founding of China in 1949 to today, witnessing the rise and fall of our great power. Over 60 years, a large number of outstanding artists emerged, so did numerous excellent works. National Art Exhibition carries high academic values in the field of art, but it still shoulders the social function of times changing and historical responsibility.In 21st century, art went into the development stage of diversification. "Twelfth National Fine Art Exhibition" in 2014 put "carrying forward the socialist core values" as the main theme of the exhibition. Our country and the whole society pay more attention to marine culture in contemporary society. The related marine institutions, ocean forum, ocean expo, Marine Culture Festival and so on also play an increasingly positive role. However, the exploration and research of marine culture painting has not been fully carried out. In the past, lots of concerns were given to territorial problems, but now more were given to national airspace and territorial waters issue. And marine culture is also an important part of the culture development of contemporary Chinese culture.The research of this thesis picks the marine oil paintings in three Art Exhibitions as starting point. Based on collecting various data, it uses many methods such as literature research and image research to try to be incisive and thorough so as to achieve the objective of this project. The thesis aims at analyzing the features of three National Art Features and the existing problems. At last, I discuss about my thoughts and the future prospective about marine oil paintings. The concrete chapters are as follows:Chapter one tells about the development overview of marine oil paintings at home and abroad.Chapter two tells about the presentation of marine theme oil painting in National Art Exhibition. It introduces the features that marine theme oil paintings present in National Art Exhibition in stagesChapter three starts based on the marine oil paintings in three National Art Exhibitions. It explains the features of marine oil paintings in three National Art Exhibitions in terms of such aspects of local folklore、art technique of expression> language style and humanistic spirits of works.Chapter four is the thoughts on the basis of the marine oil paintings in three National Art Exhibitions in 21 Century. This chapter is closely followed the former one, summarizing the existing problems of marine oil paintings in three National Art Exhibitions and putting up suggestions accordingly. At the end of the thesis, it predicts the prospect of oil paintings of marine theme.
