The Research Of The Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region’s Cultural Activities During The Anti-Japanese War

The cultural activity is a reflection of the culture. The cultural activities of Anti-Japanese period consist of the most important section on base area culture and it is also the direct expression of the Anti-Japanese culture. The emergence and development of cultural activities are influenced by the social environment, regime construction and economic development in the base area. During the Anti-Japanese period, the cultural activities of the Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region were flourishing which represented the advanced culture activity and played an exemplary vanguard role in base area.The Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region is the base area of communist party of China that has a democratic politics under the leadership of the communist party of China. After the total war broken out, a large number of writers, artists and patriotic intellectuals were attracted to this area because this place was far away from the war front and had a relatively peace. The peaceful social environment provides free space for the development of the culture activities. Due to the positive support of leader and participation of all kinds of people including writers, artists, patriotic intellectuals, famers and workers, the flag of culture activities was lifted and a series of vigorous culture activities were carried out in the Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region which occupied a small corner in the northwest of China. The proceeding of the cultural activities did not only enrich the life style of people but also promote the development of the local culture in the Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region. Meanwhile, it played an important role in cultivating the Anti-Japanese spirit of the entire Chinese people.Firstly the author analyze the background and the process of the cultural activities in the Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region, lists the achievements of the patriotic intellectuals, then explore the literary and artistic activity contribution to the Anti-Japanese War. The introduction introduces the writing origin and the topic’s significance, literature review and research methods; The body part consists of four chapters. Chapter I mainly analyzes the background of the Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region’s cultural activities through social, political and cultural aspects; Chapter Ⅱ explaines the development of the Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region’s cultural activities from the early development, Medium-term development to the labyrinthian development; Chapter III analyzes the main achievements of the Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region’s cultural activities on literary works, periodicals, drama, film, revolutionary songs and cultural education; Chapter IV based on the contents of the former three parts puts forward the further evaluation and thought in Characteristic, effect and significance of the Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region’s cultural activities.
