This study presented a comparative study on aesthetic characteristics formed by "repet ition" art mode under the culture background of china and western. The research content is as follows:1. As the artistic construction mode, "repetition" presented the role of western tradition and variation in in Chinese oil painting.2.As the artistic construction mode, the development and achievement of "repetition" in the situations of local culture have achieved.3.The expanding of new order of Chinese oil painting.Under the research framework of aesthetic morphology and the background of the fusi on of Chinese and western culture ideology and the development of national consciousness, as building methods, the rheological aesthetic idea and form of painting language with Chi nese characteristics formed in the history, the form elements and structural elements was st udied. The problem and approach existed in in the construction of modern Chinese culture and art was revealed. All this study will have great significance for the construction of the new culture. Although certain artistic achievement and independent style characteristic hav e been achieved by Chinese oil painting in the history, there are some disadvantages at nou menon language and mental performance by comparing with western oil paintings. We just hope that a new look will be generated by new development.
