The Impact Of History And Soul —A Research On Zhang Chengzhi’s Literary Creation

As a distinctive writer in contemporary chinese literature, the process of Zhang Chengzhi’s literary creation constantly impact between the individual soul and the history breed multiple conflicting factors, which is not only the unique and profound in his literature, in a sense, but also its own limitations. Starting from the mid 1980’s, some critics revealed that Zhang Chengzhi has the characteristics of the contradictions and conflict. In fact, in the face of a variety of complex time and space changes, a writer’s heart is always in a constant collision with the times and history. From the early years of the “red guards” to later “sent-down youth”, finally becoming a writer, Zhang Chengzhi have experienced inner contradictions and disputation in the process of identity transformation. On the basis of summarizing the previous research on this problem and based on text, with the complexity and contradiction of Zhang Chengzhi and his literary works reflect the complexity and contradiction between the continuous impact of the individual mind and history breakthrough point, I tried to cause their root and reflected in Zhang Chengzhi’s literary creation or influence.The first part is introduction.This part defines the topic origin and the research content and emphasis. First of all, it clarifies the relationship between the history and the individual mind. In combing and summarizing of embodied in the literary creation of Zhang Chengzhi’s complexity and contradiction on the basis of the study, I puts forward the conception and research priorities. The second part mainly talked about the entanglement of ideal. According to the clue of time, this part took Zhang Chengzhi’s “idealism” as the emphasis point, and mainly talked about Zhang Chengzhi from 1966 when he began with the contemporary youth as in “Cultural Revolution” in the early uplift a Leftwing youth proletarian ideals, to later during the deterioration and failure of the “Cultural Revolution”. In the basis of reflection and introspection, he did not give up the proletarian ideal which is standing together with the bottom. He also put forward the “other’s dignity”which has the humanistic color and humanitarian ideals of humanism in the “cultural revolution” dialectical criticism. The third part is about history and history of soul. This part mainly focused on the concept of “history” in Zhang Chengzhi’s literary creation. First of all, Zhang Chengzhi’s literary attitude itself is derived from a relationship which impact and resistance between the individual mind and the history. Zhang Chengzhi emphasized a writing attitude which was closely combined with history and the times. This required the writer has the ability and courage to break out from the history in the process to respond to the history. In the process of analyzing the important text history of the soul, I revealed that Zhang Chengzhi reflected the state which has all kinds of disputes, contradictions and struggles when the individual soul and history impact each other in the literary creation. However, this kind of disputation, contradiction and struggle also was the distinctiveness and immortality of history of the soul. The fourth part is about the relationship between the character of intellectual and the writer himself. This part mainly focused on the critical colour of Zhang Chengzhi’s literary creation. This was determined by the personal identity of Zhang Chengzhi himself. It is also closely related his identification to the value of humanity, equality, ideals and dignity. Zhang Chengzhi has always admired Lu Xun, which seems to be in agreement with some of his own critical literary spirit. The fifth part is conclusion. This part has combed the main content and the viewpoint of the full text. This paper focused on the contradiction and entanglement of the impact of Zhang Chengzhi’s literary creation between the individual soul and history, investigated the characteristics of Zhang Chengzhi’s literary thought from different sides, revealed the origin of contradictions and disputation in its own thought and literary works. And this kind of contradiction and entanglement as a kind of ideological resources is also the reaction to Zhang Chengzhi’s own literary creation.
