The novel Spiritual history is one of the important works of Zhang Chengzhi, it talked about the history of seven generations Jahriyya mentor and Catholics to defend the religion of two hundred years, Which mainly use Jahriyya founder Ma Mingxin’s activity for clues. In 2011, Zhang Chengzhi completed the Spiritual history, the latest revision. Compared to the first edition of Spiritual history, delete and rewrite length about one-third,revised points all over the book. Also, nvolving Zhang Chengzhi’s thinking for Jahriyya,China Muslim, world situation and academic in the past two decades, the latest reviision is considered as an important indicator of the development of Zhang Chengzhi thoughts. It can be said, Spiritual history revised edition presents Zhang Chengzhi’s transition from passion, radical to calm and rational. This paper will try to make a full description about Spiritual history, Which contains specific conditions on revised and how he was included in the draw extensively on the basis of humanitarian principles of justice and human history, tradition and good thoughts on spiritual resources, to further rich and deep, it is the significance of this paper.First, the paper provides a brief introduction of the spiritual history first edition and describes the creation of the background and significance of this paper. First chapter described the specific situation of spiritual history amendments in detail, about a total of 9480 to modify. Among them, the spiritual history revision reflects Zhang Chengzhi’s ideological development and mainly shows in three aspects:Further discussion on the experience of the Red Guards, Further understanding on the Islamic faith and civilization and Rethinking on the intellectuals and writing. Next, this paper discussed and analyzed the three aspects above.The second chapter Further discussion on the Red Guards experience is new content. Compared to Early references to the Red Guards spirits from the People standpoint in opposition to special powers, and stand together with underlying people in order to overcome the ideological dilemma when the Red Guards spiritual facing historic debt arising. In the revised edition, Zhang Chengzhi make sure his Red Guards standpoint and combines viewpoints of the Red Guards experience and the People standpoint together, by rethinking Red Guards experience and Jahriyya, he use Islam as a people’s ideology, a spiritual weapon, against imperialist offensive, especially in Third World countries. At the same time, Zhang Chengzhi trying to establish Jahriyya Community, on the one hand, analysis Jahriyya’s historical and current situation from the perspective of sociology and political, regard Jahriyya as an organic component in people of the community, prompting the common progress of religious and ethnic and national. On the other hand, in a process of emphasize the Red Guards spiritual values and ideology-driven view, regard Islam as a valuable people’s ideology to advocate imperialism from the spiritual level. In such a process, Community as a carrier of people’s ideology, can unite the Red Guards spiritual and reality together, in order to achieve Zhang Chengzhi’s hope about revolutionary ideals and practices, which on behalf of Zhang Chengzhi’s communicantion and effort to solve the Red Guards movements’dilemma when facing history.The third chapter Further understanding on the Islamic faith and civilization, shows Zhang Chengzhi’s views on world situation and Jahriyya with the background of globalization. Facing of Western hegemonism and colonialism, Zhang Chengzhi insist the Red Guards spiritual, which includes anti-establishment, anti-bureaucracy and anti-privilege. He resist official system, also resist world system, which means resist hegemonism, to express demands for peace and justice. Corresponding to this phenomenon, Zhang Chengzhi considered that only subject itself civilized spirit strong, they may have the ability to compete with the oppression of Western hegemonism. So based on the revise of Spiritual history, Zhang Chengzhi thinks that Jahriyya should resist the blood lineage theory and secular’s invasion. Also, Combined with filial piety in Confucianism and Jahriyya, resulting in a strong cultural spirit. This represents a linking cultural spirit of Chinese civilization and Islamic civilization, can fight with Christian civilization’s invasion, which represent the Western civilization. At last, he appeals the dignity of others.The fourth chapter Rethinking on the intellectuals and writing, through Zhang Chengzhi’s rethinking on the Red Guards experience and the Islamic faith and civilization, revealing Zhang Chengzhi as Muslim intellectuals’resistance and self-help in the process of revised Spiritual history. On the one hand, Zhang Chengzhi remains rebellion against the intellectual class and the official system. on the other hand, Zhang Chengzhi still maintain strong learning ability. Compared to Spiritual history first edition, Zhang Chengzhi no longer emphasis on criticism, but hope in the phenomenon of people who worship Western, there will be more intellectuals integrated into underlying people, access to real academic, especially those of Muslim intellectuals, to fight for the right to speak, so that Muslims and Chinese can have more greater understanding and concern. It is worth noting that Faced with the era which given more limiting, how to carry out a complete interpretation of the history of religion, to solve the statement dilemma of take and abandon, is the issues for all Muslim intellectuals think about.Throughout Zhang Chengzhi’s thoughts, he is a minority who is almost a unique contemporary without major changes in text form and ideology. But that does not mean there is no significant change in his stay in place. On the contrary, as a intellectual, Zhang Chengzhi can express his opinion to contemporary social phenomena especially literary phenomenon of moral as Lu Xun’s style. As a strong sense of Muslim intellectuals, Zhang Chengzhi committed against Muslims fight for the right to speak, continue to struggle for the dignity of people, and expect the international doctrine of peace and justice. Zhang Chengzhi Thoughts embodied the spirit of cultural values and culture, worthy of our recognition. For the Cultural Revolution, because it has deep historical reasons and political reasons, this paper will not make a deep discussion and analysis. But the spirit of the revolution revisits memories of social reality and maintain a clear perception on high alert, indeed is a critique of the spiritual reality of this era, we can considered it as a New Left Wing spirit, which means intellectuals’fighting spirit when face reality and the times, this inheritance and uphold the Chinese intellectuals real fighting spirit in order to face the reality of literature, also known as the New Left Wing literature. Faced with the fundamental problem of the New Left Wing literature exist, namely New Left Wing spirit of how we can learn a wide range of excellent infrastructure including intellectual tradition and spiritual resources of the humanitarian principles of justice and human history, to further enrich and profound, Zhang Chengzhi provides us with a new and sustained strong reference.
