The Research On National Instrumental Reform Of Qianwei Art Troupe

The reform of Chinese national instruments (’Instrumental Reform’for short) occurred in 20th century when the political system, social system and economic structure of our country was changing dramatically. The instrumental reform of the "Qianwei"national band belonging to art troupe of the Chinese people’s Liberation Army---Ji’nan Military Region(’Qianwei’for short)started from 1950s,which is commonly believed as one of the typical reform organizer after that of China Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra. The Instrumental Reform not only creates historical value to the reforms of national instruments but also plays a significant promoting and leading role in the development of Chinese national music and national orchestra.In the Instrumental Reform of Qianwei, it achieved great goals in several parts including blow, pull and play results in the completion of Chinese national band structure by a series of brilliant achievements. Besides, a lot of musicians who are eager to develop national instruments made improvements and innovations based on the inheritance of traditions so that it improved the quality and performance of instruments and expand the organization as well. It is widely recognized that the outstanding achievements and hardworking explorations are still very useful and valuable in today’s national instrumental reforms and national music development.During writing the thesis, the author did several interviews and consultations with Shiye Zhang, Huiran Wang and Tianquan HU, who participated in the Instrumental Reform of Qianwei, in order to know about all processes in detail. In addition, the thesis mainly discuss the reforms of typical instruments in different parts so that we can study the processes, practices and results of the Instrumental Reform of Qianwei. There’s no doubt to say that this is a great opportunity for us to find real reasons and failure and gain more useful experience, helping us find appropriate methods to protect and develop national instruments. Finally, it can also provide certain theoretical basis and practical guidance to inherit and develop our national culture in the future.
